Alcúdia's Local Police arrested an 18-year-old man on 27 August 2026 on suspicion of robbery involving violence, theft and minor injuries, according to police information reported the following day by Alcúdia Ràdio. The complaint concerned a handbag containing a mobile phone taken from a woman at Barcarès beach.
Police said the suspect had allegedly stolen a bicycle beforehand. Two workers in the area intercepted and held him until officers arrived. The published report stated that the items, including the bicycle, were recovered. The allegations were part of the police investigation.
