Sant Jaume church in Alcúdia resumed religious services and reopened its museum on 6 October 2026 after damage caused by a lightning strike on Saturday 3 October. Rector Joan Gamundí reported on the repairs in Alcúdia Ràdio's 9 October bulletin.
Damaged roof tiles had been replaced during the week to protect the vaults. The strike had also damaged the electrical panel.
On 9 October, work on a beam near the sacristy and inspection of the lightning conductor were still pending. The reopening of services should not be confused with completion of every repair.
